Purpose: To verify that the structure of a connector with a liquid spill protection design is not affected by the ingress of liquid when properly installed in the representative base according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Application Fields: Household appliance laboratories, quality control departments, safety certification agencies, and research institutes.
Testing Principle:
A 30 mL saline solution (1% NaCl) is poured through a funnel onto the test connector within 2 seconds.
After spillage, a dielectric strength test is performed to check insulation and electrical safety.
