This advanced testing equipment evaluates the scratch resistance of insulation surfaces on household appliances and similar equipment, ensuring compliance with international safety standards.

Applicable Samples
Designed for testing solid insulated parts that are touched, coated printed boards, or coated components of household and similar appliances.
Testing Methodology
  • Uses a hardened steel pin with 40° conical tip and 0.25mm ± 0.02mm radius
  • Pin held at 80° to 85° angle to horizontal with 10N ± 0.5N axial force
  • Scratching speed of approximately 20mm/s
  • Creates two parallel scratches spaced appropriately to avoid interference
  • Scratches cover approximately 25% of insulation length
  • Second set of scratches made at 90° to first pair without crossing
